In the difficulties of the past year, we can agree that the world needs more HOPE. Our patron, St. Jude, is the patron of hopeless causes. To this end, the theme for our Fund-A-Need is “St. Jude Brings Hope.” We have identified two needs that will bring hope to our community and beyond, and I invite you to join forces with us to bring hope to our people, our Mahtomedi community, and those within our Archdiocese who are in desperate need.
- Bell Project: (Goal $15,000) The first need is fixing our church bell that hasn’t rung in nearly a decade – the largest part of this need is the installation of a new digital controller with a wireless remote. Ringing our bell will signal to the Mahtomedi community that Jesus is alive at St. Jude of the Lake!
- St. Peter Claver Partnership: (Goal $15,000) The second need isn’t on our campus – we intend to enter a partnership with St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and School in St. Paul and specifically contribute to the Catholic education of youth who face economic challenges, especially during the current pandemic.
The goal for each project is $15,000 We will separate the funds so that individuals can contribute to either one (or both) with specific gifts. Please note in ‘Comments’ which project you are donating towards. If donating to ‘both,’ please specify amounts as well.
